About this course

This introductory recorded webinar will explore the history of Balint Groups, as well as their context, purpose, and the research data pertaining to outcomes and effects, oriented to psychotherapists considering participation or training in the Balint method. We are donating 25% of each registration fee to the American Balint Society.

  • Jason A. Seidel, Psy.D., CGP

    Jason Seidel, Psy.D., CGP is a psychologist and the director of The Colorado Center for Clinical Excellence, a Denver-based psychotherapy practice devoted to feedback-informed treatment and research. Previously, Dr. Seidel served for 10 years as the research director for the International Center for Clinical Excellence, an organization at the forefront of improving psychotherapy effectiveness through practice-based evidence. He is a member of the Society for Psychotherapy Research, the American Balint Society (where he serves on the Scholarly Activities Committee), and the American Group Psychotherapy Association. Jason has worked in the field of psychotherapy outcomes measurement in clinical practice for over 20 years, serving on expert panels, training large organizations, and publishing peer-reviewed research articles and book chapters on the subject of clinical outcomes and professional excellence. He was one of the first psychotherapists in the world to report his treatment outcomes in rigorous detail on the Internet. His mission is to improve both the effectiveness and humanity of psychotherapy.
